Clinical Services

Derbyshire Farm Vets provides a full clinical service to its clients. We focus on proactive veterinary care to provide the best outcome for the animal and the farmer. We pride ourselves on our up to date knowledge and evidence based approach to on farm problems. We work closely with the farmer to deal with the underlying cause of problems and not just treat the symptoms.

Our 24 hour on call service is provided by our own experienced, independent farm vets.

Herd Health Planning

As a practice, we believe herd health planning is the cornerstone of the vet-farmer relationship. We compile and assist our farmers with data collection on regular routine visits, and provide reports and analysis as required by Red Tractor Farm Assurance and dairy purchasers. We use this information to inform management decisions, highlight production losses and provide cost effective solutions.

Medicines

We stock and provide a full range of veterinary medicines including POM VPS products. We price these medicines fairly and deliver them free of charge. We provide an ongoing service to ensure the correct and responsible use of antibiotics on farm to ensure we comply with evolving industry standards.
